Can we all just agree?

That this is one bad ass picture?

I'm loving the pencil thin eyebrows and super glossy lips.

Happy Thanksgiving!

And I'm off to the parents to overeat/drink and decorate for Christmas.  Good times.

Forget me not

I know it's nothing new, but I really enjoy these charming knot pieces from Exclusively Home. I mean really now, they're just frickin adorable.

Oh happy day, it's Friday!

Here's to the joyful start of your weekend!

This adorable little number is a miniature letterpress print available for sale from Milkfed Press.

Why hello, you dandy thing, you

On Monday I was listening to NPR on way home from work. One of the features was on the first "Tweed Ride" in DC. I'm a happy girl. Seriously looooooove it. Love dandies.

Mmmmm, maybe one of the cutest couples ever. Ever.

Classic.

A modern spin for the ladies (Abeate, and Rag & Bone).

Pretty little things

I first read about Azzara's jewelry line in a magazine doing an art deco piece, a period I generally enjoy. Some of my faves:

Viva Las Vegas

Turns out a little blog crush of mine, Garance Dore, was in Vegas at the same time as us. And some cowboys too. There were stetson hats and cowboy boots as far as the eye could see.

Our cab driver on the way back commented on how crowded the airport was going to be because all the rednecks were going home (his words, not mine). He said in his country (Jamaica) if you get on top of a bull to ride it, they'd arrest you. That tickled me.

PS: this also means that the Sart was there. And yet somehow he missed my leopard flats. Shocking! Shocking I say! .

It's Wednesday

I have the day off of work and I'm at home wishing I could focus on one specific thing to do rather than sit here overwhelmed by the million little things to do.

I finally started working on the scrapbook for our Big Vacation. It's been almost 2-months since I had the pics developed.

We'll see what kind of dent I can make today. In the meantime, I'm wishing I could just whip this shits together a la Martha. *sigh*

Nice wall

I like letters. A lot.

So needless to say I was tickled pink when I saw graphic designer Jennifer Brehm's pad on style/SWOON. A wall featuring an ode to letters and numbers? Tré cool. Behold:

I love me some leopard

I really, really do. Behold, my new shoes:
I wore them all weekend in Vegas to break them in. Mission Accomplished.

Some other lovely leopard finds:

Leopard calf-skin clutch by Ann Taylor (which I saw
in Vegas, but couldn't fathom spending that much on
a wee clutch. $120? Umm..nuh huh.)

W. Kleinberg's Leopard Haircalf Belt (always wish I could
do the skinny belt with sweaters look, which I love, but must
admit that there's a good chance I'd resemble the
Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters if worn - with the
the exception that the bands of flesh would be around
my middle, not my appendages)

Chubby jacket by CORPUS (see Ghostbusters reference above)

We're back.
And I'm pooped. Traveling always does it to me.

And we're off!

My big 3-0 present from my folks is a weekend in Vegas with my One+Only.

And my folks.

I think it's my ma's way of seeing me without actually having to come to where I live. And so we're off. Our only plans that I know of are dinner at Michael Mina's Seablue restaurant. That one I'm actually rather excited about.

Details and pics to follow. And we're off!

Who doesn't love a polaroid? Who?

Turns out my 63-year old Uncle Ed has always been too cool for school. When the masses abandoned Polaroid cameras for the snazziness of digital's appeal, he stayed the course. And now he finally reaps the reward of his staunch loyalty. Why you ask?

Because it's 'Roid Week on flickr! I think it might just be time to dust off some of the Christmas '93 Polaroids I have stored in my trusty ol' shoe box of pics for the world of flickr to enjoy (assuming, of course, that they are indeed enjoyable).

Loving this

I am crushing on Lola Andrew's cover image for Parasol.

And now I feel like lounging in bed and painting my nails jungle red.

A purple door?

Seriously? Could it get any better than that?
